    Injury,decreased pay and hours

Aug of 2008 I was injured on the job. After several months my doctor put me on permanent work restrictions.

In order to accomodate my "on the job" injury my employer cut my hours and my pay. Now that I have finished my 2009 taxes the overall decrease was 8k. Is there no recourse for this???

Thanks for any advice/direction you can give. My first attempt at legal advice was $1200.00 charge and pretty much a that's the way it is.

If the employer does not have another job that you can do full time, employing you at reduced hours is almost certainly a reasonable accommodation.

File for OWCP for the missing hours.  Your post suggests that you are a Federal or Postal employee and that it was a workers' comp claim.

You should be able to get two-thirds or three-fourths of your hourly pay for those missing hours.

You are going to need to come up with an itemization of the hours.
