Hello, brand new to this forum. I have been all over the net trying to find the answers, and hopefully I can get some information here. (posted this is another section as well)
(Pennsylvania) My fiance has 3 kids, she has sole custody and the dad has visitation rights on weekends. There other stupulations which are not important to this question. Basically, he has been sharing a house with another guy for about a year but recently had to move out. We both think he got booted...he's a real winner. Anyway, he now is living with his parents (he is 45) in their living room. The house is tiny, and sits right on a very busy road and is not a safe place for kids. He took the kids, (two boys and a girl, ages 10, 6, 4) last weekend, and they all slept in the same bed with him, in the living room of his parents house. Totally inappropriate in our eyes. Not to mention the kids were a mess when they came home Sunday night...they all said how much they hated that. I've heard there are laws or statutes in PA that require each child to have have his or her own bed to sleep in, but I can not find anything. He wants to get them again this weekend, but we are both against it, because it just doesn't seem right. Last thing we want is to be held in contempt, but if he is not able to provide a suitable place for the to sleep how can that really be in the best interest of the kids. Thanks for any help!!
