    summons

I have a case pending in Arizona Superior court and I want to subpoena a witness to testify. Can someone tell me what the correct legal name is for a witness to testify.

If you just want the witness to testify it's just a subpoena. Like the one I found for Mohave County. You can modify it by substituting your own county and court name.

If you want the witness to testify and bring documents it's a subpoena duces tecum. Like the following which can also be modified to fit your needs.

Thanks for the info.... I have one more question; can a judge in a civil matter order a status conference submitted by the plaintiff held on the same day as oral arguments for a motion to dismiss which was submitted by the defendants.

    Yes.

A judge has lots of power to do lots of things and he can certainly to that.

And if he already DID do it, well, that should also answer that question.
